Meghan's Story...

A 2017 graduate of Lower Dauphin High School in Hummelstown, Pa., Meghan Marie Johnson loved to sing, write music, and share her passion for the stage. She was very active in her high school drama club and theater program, as well as several community theatres. Sadly, Meghan passed away on Tuesday, Nov. 21, 2017 after a long and courageous battle with Stage 4 Glioblastoma Brain Cancer at the age of 18, just 5 days shy of her 19th birthday.

Meghan loved shopping, buying shoes, Taylor Swift, eating Peeps, the color pink, Arnold Palmer Iced Tea, watching The Golden Girls, and spending time with her little sister Rachael and her many friends.

The grey in her logo is for the color of brain cancer, the pink is because it is Meghan's favorite color!

More Than A Scholarship Fund…

Meghan's phrase that she used often was "but, I'm doin' it" when referring to her daily struggles with brain cancer. imdoinit.org continues Meghan’s courageous cancer battle by fundraising for Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Research at UPMC Hillman Cancer Center in Pittsburgh, where she received experimental immunotherapy treatment that gave her an additional six months to live. imdonit.org is also very active in overall Glioblastoma Brain Cancer Awareness. All research donations received go directly to the University of Pittsburgh facility.

Team Meghan is the fundraising and community outreach division for both the Meghan M. Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund and imdoinit.org, and is extremely active all year long. The Team Meghan 3K Walk/Run in Hershey, PA, Community Yard Sale, Back To School Supplies Drive, and the Cancer Warriors Photo Shoot are just a few of the events we hold in support of our initiatives. Team Meghan has a large social media presence and we are active in community events and causes that Meghan would be involved with if she were still alive.

The Meghan M. Johnson Memorial Scholarship Fund is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization.
